Julian Levine

I am a Ph.D. student in the Teaching, Learning, and Educational Improvement (TLEI) cluster at the UCI School of Education, specializing in Language & Literacy. As a member of the Digital Learning Lab, I am currently conducting research on the Converse to Learn project.

I hold a B.A. in economics with a minor in psychology from UC San Diego and an M.A. in education with a focus on social research methodologies from UC Berkeley.

As an educator, I taught English in South Korea for two and a half years, and also spent a year and a half tutoring calculus at the UC Berkeley Athletic Study Center. 

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have a passion for language learning. I am proficient in Korean (TOPIK 6), Spanish, and Japanese (JLPT N2). My ultimate goal is to use my research to help people of all ages achieve success in language learning. 

In my free time, in collaboration with my brother, I make songs and animated music videos for children learning English.
